Daol Global (CEO Kim Ji-young) and Africa Korea Economic Development Association (Chairman Kwon O-gyu, hereinafter referred to as 'AKEDA') and Chung Si-woo, secretary general of the Korea Economic Development Association,
announced on the 13th that both parties signed a business agreement.
Africa Korea Economic Development Association (AKEDA), established in 2017,
is a collaboration between Korea and 20 African countries in education, culture, medical care, infrastructure, industry and energy.
Currently, AKEDA is actively carrying forward businesses such as energy projects, social infrastructure support projects,
new city construction projects, and resource development projects in various African countries.
An authority from Daol Global said, "Daol Global and AKEDA agreed to share local beauty market information
and expand domestic cosmetics brands' chances to enter the African market through their current network.
Also, with this business agreement, Daol Global expect that the K-Beauty products will be accelerated in Africa market."
Daol Global launched the B2B e-commerce platform ‘kocopot’ in 2020 to provide services to match local buyers
in regions with high export barriers for Korean companies, such as the African market with K-beauty brand.
So K-beauty brands are expected to enter the African market in the future by using the kocopot platform.
